Fun and Excitement at Home

Published by saramaxine at 11:00 pm under Daily Life Edit This

While I’m always looking for new and fun things to do around town, sometimes is nice just to stay home.  It’s certainly a lot less expensive to.  It seems like every time I leave the house I unintentionally spent more than I want.  You know, a coffee here, a trinket there.  So today we stayed home!

Today we played indoors, then we played outdoors, I cooked all three meals, took a nap, did some chores, and had a nice day.  In fact, both Gary and I talked to our parents today, and I caught up with a friend from out of state.  I’d say it’s been a good day.  I’d also say that I’ll be wanting to get out of the house tomorrow.  Since much of my time is spent at home, I do like to get away often, even if it’s just for a stroll around the neighborhood.  But tomorrow, I’d like to do something as a family.

The blues festival is going on down at the waterfront park.  That has been a favorite in the past; however, I cannot imagine bringing my little busy boy down there to trample all through a sea of blankets and lawn chairs.  Alexander does not have the temperament at this sweet age of almost two to sit still and listen to live music.  I imagine he would be adored for about two minutes with his dancing, wiggling, smiles, and giggles.  Then everyone around would be glaring at us with anger over his shrilling high-pitched screams.  The one he likes to let out at the most inopportune time.

I think I’ll take this quiet time in my evening to search for something fun and interesting to do tomorrow.  I hope to share something fun with you!
